The international media conference on citizen journalism, jointly organized by the International Institute for Journalism (IIJ) of InWent and Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung was held on March 18, 2010 in Berlin, Germany. Speakers, guests and participants from different parts of the world attended the conference and shared their views related to both citizen and traditional journalism. They also discussed on the practice and prospect of citizen journalism in the developed and developing countries. But did they get their expectations fulfilled? Robab Rosan has been working as a cultural correspondent in a daily newspaper called New Age in Bangladesh since 2003. Currently he is the in-charge of the daily’s culture page. He mainly writes theatre, photography and painting reviews and on other cultural activities. He also works for the cultural section of Dhaka-based weekly newspaper Holiday.
